Late Mr. Kamal Shanthapriya was only two months in employment when death stuck him leaving most of duties to his family undone. The life insurance cover of the company to the employees had Mrs.I.Ratnayake presented with a substantial insurance money to her credit and in addition the Management decided to offer employment to her in the company. Contributions to society. In this regard the Company regularly sends donations to those suffering with serious illnesses to meet the high cost of medical expenses. Generous contributions have been made to construction of houses for those who cannot afford a roof over their heads. Donations to places of worship also have been made wherever necessary.Sri Lanka Agon-shu Friendship Foundation, established by the concept of Deshamanya Somasiri A. Pathirana, in 12 January 1994, is involved in the social service activities in Sri Lanka. The Founder is Most Venerable Seiyu Kiriyama Thera of Agon-shu Sector, Japan. Mr. Anand Senarath, Chairman & Mr. Somasiri A. Pathirana is the Director/General Manager. So Far the Foundation has awarded 7010 scholarships to children in need for their higher education. It also provides assistance for religious, cultural, educational, social, environmental activities and medical aid for children throughout the country. The 5th Scholarship Awarding Ceremony held at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall on the 05th November 2007At the Ceremonial opening of the new building at Sambodhi Viharaya, the Golden Casket studded with Gems presented by Mr. Anand Senarath in which relics of the Lord Buddha was placed by His Excellency President Mahinda Rajapakse on 06.05.2007 at his official residence Temple Trees, was brought in to be placed in the new building.Tantirimale Temple an ancient temple that is with historical significance as well has generous contributions from members of the family of the founder of Premadasas. This adds to their Cultural, Religious, Social activities. A Dagabo was constructed and other restoration work done at this temple by them with regular financial assistance to other activities of the temple and is precincts which helped in a large measure to the resurgence of Tantirimale village and its environs. Tantrimale now attracts devotees from all over the island whilst the farmers in the area have improved on their cultivations. Pioneers of this effort were the family of the founder.
